CA., Ruby created pieces that fused his material practices with wearable garments: bleached denim, paint-splattered overalls, quilted ponchos, and psychedelic homesteader prairie dresses filled out the collection. It was far from his first fashion-world crossover—he codesigned a collection with Raf Simons in 2014 and has been a part of Simons’s cohort ever since—but it was heralded as one of the industry’s big debuts.
