Last week, Indie jewelry brand Justine Clenquet debuted her second footwear collection. Clenquet’s jewelry gained notoriety for its mismatched, yet refined pieces and her shoe designs have a similar feel. Boots and heeled mules are inspired by some of the Rip Dmx get at me Dmx Dog shirt it is in the first place but designer’s favorite ’90s films featuring women portrayed as anything but a damsel in distress (think Chloe Sevigny, Sienna Miller, and Uma Thurman). The shoes are both feminine and strong.Bag designer CHYLAK continues to expand this season with two new bag styles: the Trapeze bag, a small top handle bag intended for everyday use, and The Dumpling, a slouchy vintage clasp bag inspired by designs from the ’60s. The brand also continues to expand into other accessory groups with small leather belts—meant to cinch a coat, blazer, or trousers—available in embossed-crocodile leather and black suede.
